Who and what may qualify.

Eligible applicants

  • Deed-verified 501(c)(3) public charities serving the same service area as the requested Walmart facility
  • Deed-verified government entities, including cities, counties, municipal agencies, and other eligible public bodies
  • Deed-verified K-12 schools, community or junior colleges, colleges, and universities meeting Walmart's school requirements
  • Deed-verified churches and faith-based organizations proposing projects that benefit the community at large

Applicants excluded by the source

  • Individuals
  • Unverified organizations
  • Ineligible non-charities including 501(c)(4), 501(c)(6), and 501(c)(19) organizations

Eligible uses

  • Local charitable needs aligned with the selected facility and program guidelines

Application

How to start.

  1. Create a Spark Good account and complete Deed verification.
  2. Confirm the requested facility serves the same area as the organization.
  3. Submit through the local-grant portal during an open cycle.

Timing: FY27 Cycle 2 closes July 15; Cycle 3 runs August 1 through November 30.
