Housing Preservation Grants.

HPG funds capable public, nonprofit, and tribal sponsors that operate local repair programs for low- and very-low-income rural homeowners and qualifying rental housing.

Offered byUSDA Rural Housing Serviceverified 2026-07-10

Overview

What it does.

A Chester homeowner is a potential beneficiary, not the federal applicant. The City or an experienced nonprofit would compete for an annual award, then provide local grants or low-interest loans under an approved housing-preservation program.

Best for: Organizations able to run a targeted rural housing-rehabilitation program for income-qualified residents.
