This is not currently an open direct grant for a Chester business or resident. Local stakeholders should review provisional awards and coordinate with the Illinois Office of Broadband and selected providers regarding planned service and any remaining gaps.
Best for: Tracking and partnering on publicly funded broadband deployment to eligible Chester-area locations.

- Illinois was the federal eligible entity
- Qualified providers and public or nonprofit entities participated through the Illinois subgrantee process

- Residents and businesses applying directly to NTIA for service or equipment

- Broadband deployment to eligible unserved and underserved locations
- Eligible community anchor institution connections
- Other uses authorized after required deployment priorities

- Contact the Illinois Office of Broadband about Chester-area coverage and remaining process steps.
- Coordinate with selected subgrantees on deployment, permitting, and community anchor needs.
