WIOA On-the-Job Training can reimburse part of the cost of training an eligible new employee in a Chester-area workplace.
Overview
What it does.
The local workforce board contracts with an employer to provide occupation-specific training while the participant works as an employee. Terms, reimbursement, and participant eligibility are set before training begins.
Best for: Employers hiring candidates who need structured, job-specific training.

- Employers able to hire and train an eligible WIOA participant
- Eligible WIOA participants needing job-specific training
Eligible uses
- Extraordinary costs of training and supervising an eligible new employee in an actual work setting

- Subsidizing an existing employee without an approved OJT contract
- Ongoing wages after the training period
