What it does.

The 2026 host application remains open through September 18. Small organizations receive priority, and hosts coordinate a speaker date before applying at least six weeks ahead.

Best for: A Chester library, museum, school, park district, nonprofit, or community group planning a free public cultural program.

Application

How to start.

  1. Select an available speaker and presentation.
  2. Arrange a tentative date directly with the speaker.
  3. Submit the host application at least six weeks before the event.

Timing: Applications for 2026 presentations are accepted through September 18, 2026 and should be submitted at least six weeks before the event.

Limits to account for.

  • Events must be free, public, and held in Illinois.
  • Hosts may receive no more than two presentations per calendar year.
  • Speaker slots are limited.

Local sponsorship can support venue, accessibility, promotion, or related programming if program rules remain satisfied.
